The Delano grape strike was a strike organised by the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee against table grape growers in Delano, California due to the bad treatment of farm workers. The strike started September 7, 1965[1] and ended July 1970.[2]
Because it was here that, on the night of Sept. 7, 1965, farmworkers — almost all Filipino — voted to go on strike the next day.
